The Museum is located in Skidegate. It’s gorgeous architecture provides a link between the land, the sea, and beings. The view from the beach is clearly inspired in what one would have seen when arriving at a Haida Village in the 1800s at this site on Skidegate.

The museum name in Haida is “Saahlinda Naay” which literally means the “Saving Things House”. It has a beautiful display of many original totem poles, canoes and artifacts as well as a well organized and very instructive historical and cultural exhibitions.
