We left our campground and went back to the fish weir in the morning.

Shortly after we parked the bears started coming out to fish. The female bear showed up again with only two of her cubs this time.
On some occasions the cubs would loose track of their mom and would start calling for her until reunited again.
After they finished their lunch they just crossed the road and went back into the forest.

The area has very nice walking trails and residences. You just need to be bear aware and carry your bear spray all the times.
A few anglers were fishing just downstream of where the bears like to feed next to the fish weir. We met a Polish family of five travelling around the world on their overlanding rig based on a fire truck platform

Later in the afternoon the bears returned and put a last show for us. It was difficult to leave Haines but we had a ferry to take early next morning towards Skagway.
We camp on a nearby rest area and dine with a French Brazilian couple from Australia that we met at the fish weir.
