The Bisti and De-Na-Zin wilderness area located in San Juan County in the U.S. state of New Mexico. It is a desolate area of steeply eroded badlands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and Navajo Nation.

The names come from the Navajo words Bistahí, which means “among the adobe formations”, and Dééł Náázíní, which means “Standing Crane”.

The Bisti trail runs for around 5 to 7 miles depending on which circuit you choose.

There are some very unique rock formations besides the many Hoodoos.

Cracked eggs to us were the most unique.

Like your previous post this one is also a very interesting area. It became more popular in recent years but still a remote beatiful area.
