Delta Junction towards Denali Highway

We completed Richardson highway road trip at Delta Junction. We made a U-turn returning to the where Richardson highway meets the west point of Denali Highway close to Paxson.

The scenery from Richardson Highway in the north-south direction was also spetacular.

Muskox Farm – Palmer

The Muskox farm is a non-profit farm outside Palmer about 45 minutes from Anchorage, specialized in the animal that was reintroduced to Alaska in the 1930s.

The area around Palmer has a lot of agriculture: Dairy farms, vegetable producers, even beekeepers.

Thunderbird Falls

After visiting the Alaska Native Heritage Center we drove to the nearby Thunderbird Falls. The hike crosses a birch forest along the Eklutna River canyon to reach a deck with views of a 200-foot waterfall.
