We stopped for lunch next to Castner Glacier Ice Cave Trail.

The access trails are next to Castner Creek Bridge. They are not marked which makes them not heavily used trails. They both follow the Castner Creek margins from the bridge towards the cave
Winter access is on the southeast side of the bridge. In winter months a route is sometimes present traveling up the creek bed to the glacier terminus.
In summer months an unimproved road parallels the north side of Castner Creek travels east for approximately 1/2 mile. Where the road terminates there is a foot path which travels another 1/2 mile towards the glacier terminus. Neither the winter or summer access routes are maintained or marked and therefore having a GPS with the cave coordinates helps.
