Our day started with a visit to the Cathedral downtown Rio.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian is dedicated to Saint Sebastian, the patron saint of Rio de Janeiro. The cathedral was designed by Edgar de Oliveira da Fonseca in a modern style based on Mayan architectural pyramids style.

We boarded a trolley towards the traditional neighborhood of Santa Teresa.

After lunch we boarded a Navy boat for a quiet tour of Guanabara Bay.

We drove to Parque Nacional da Tijuca where we stopped at Vista Chinesa and Mesa do Imperador.

We then did a quick stop at Sao Conrado beach and Mirante do Leblon
