We started our trip down the mining road towards Hyder and Stewart.

With daylight we could appreciate the beauty of this interesting road.

Just at the bottom of the mining road we stopped at Fish Creek Wildlife Observation Site. There were still some salmon swimming upstream on the creek. It is a place where the many eagles and bears in the area feast during the salmon runs. However this seems to be too late in the season and only birds were feeding on the salmon carcasses along the creek. We did see several eagles in the area but seems they were not looking for salmon at that time.

We later left Hyder and entered into the quaint small town of Stewart where we restocked to continue our trip.
