On the fourth day we reached Inuvik, where we stopped at the Western Artic Regional Visitor Center.

The road to Inuvik is the last portion of the Dempster Highway.








We then continue on Inuvik-Tuktoyaktuk HW 10 to reach Tuktoyaktuk village.























The results of the last weekend storm could be seen with the amount of drift wood that was left on the beaches of this treeless regions. This was impressive.



We have finally arrived at the northernmost point on earth that you can drive, just at the edge of the Artic Ocean. The top eight northernmost drives is the world are:

We visited the village of Tuktoyaktuk. The residents are extremely welcoming to tourists and all without exception greeted us and told us what we were looking at, even when that was the morgue….
