Taylor Highway – Chicken to Eagle

We spent the night just a few miles after the intersection of Taylor and Top of The World Highways.

The sunrise view from our camping spot was gorgeous.

We continue to proceed on this less travel part of the Taylor Highway towards the town of Eagle.

It is a beautiful road that meanders through the mountains with views of the rivers, creeks and valleys. The fall colors were starting to show up. Towards the end of the afternoon we reached Eagle under a slight drizzle.

We planned on having an early start next morning to visit Eagle and Fort Egbert. Hopeful to find some record of Roald Amundsen stop at Eagle to send a telegraph of his traverse of the Northwest passage in the early 1900’s.
