On our way to Denali NP we did a stop for the afternoon at the touristy town of Talkeetna.

Talkeetna is a historic Alaskan pioneer town nestled at the base of the Alaska Range.

It is a gateway to Denali National Park and adventure activities, including flightseeing tours and river rafting. 

It is a very touristy place but certainly worth a visit for its charming, historic Main Street with early 1900s buildings now mostly occupied by art studios and tourist shops.
