We visited the Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage.

Very interesting to learn the different as well as the common aspects of the many Alaska Native groups. A “village” around a pond has reconstruction of the different types of shelters and houses use by each group to protect from the varying weather condition prevalent in each region and the available resources. The theater has a continuous selection of videos on many aspects of their culture, social relations and history. A must see in Anchorage.
