Algonquin Provincial Park size, combined with its proximity to the major urban centers of Toronto and Ottawa, makes Algonquin one of the most popular provincial parks in the province and the country.

It has over 2,400 lakes and 800 miles of streams and rivers are located within the park. Several of the lakes were formed by the retreat of the glaciers during the last ice age.
Our first hike was the short Whiskey Rapids Trail.

Next we tackled the also short Hardwood Lookout Trail.

Next we hiked the Peck Lake Trail.
