Rose Blanche Lighthouse was built in 1873 with stone from a nearby granite quarry.
The developed 4 acre site has a small Fisherman’s Museum, gift shop, the Lightkeeper’s Inn and the original lighthouse building with the light keepers living quarters. A walking trail offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and Rose Blanche harbor.

The Cape Ray heritage lighthouse is situated near a small fishing village by the same name, in an isolated area on the southwest coast of Newfoundland.

Vast stretches of the south coast of Newfoundland can only be accessible by boat. One of the few roads in the area Route 480 known as the Caribou Trail.

A small isthmus knows as Blue Beach Point. It separates the Port au Port Bay from the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

On our second day at the Boot we hiked the La Marches Des Miettes Trail.
This is a 5 mile long trail with around 850ft elevation change that can be accomplished in around 3 hours.

The Burin Peninsula extends to the southwest from Newfoundland, separating Fortune Bay to the west from Placentia Bay to the east.
It was originally named the Buria Peninsula by fishermen from the Basque region during the 16th century. The peninsula is also known as “The Boot” because of its shape.

Hidden Falls is located in Sheaves Cove on the Port au Port Peninsula near Cape St. George.

On our last day at Gros Morne we hiked the Green Gardens Trail
