Fermont
Fermont is a mining city near the Quebec-Labrador border.
We stayed a couple of days in Fermont waiting for the road to open up. Recent wildfires in Labrador have closed the road at the border with Quebec.
Trans Labrador Highway
We left camping in the morning and proceeded towards Fermont.
Manic 2 to Manic 5
Manicouagan River – Manic 2
We started on the Trans Labrador Highway entering Quebec 389 towards Manic 2 Power Station.
The Manicouagan River in Quebec, is home to a massive hydroelectric power generation system.
The system has a total of seven operational dams that make up the hydroelectric complex, often referred to collectively as the “Manic dams”. The original project planned for a total of power stations on five or those dams (Manic-1, 2, 3, 4, 5), but Manic-4 was never built due to engineering conflicts with the Manic-3 reservoir.
We camped near Manic 2 Dam and Power Station.
Next morning we visited the dam.

Cap de Bon Desir – Les Bergeronnes
Around Tadoussac there are plenty of coastal whale observation points. One is Cap de Bon Desir, which is part of the municipality of Los Bergeronnes.
Back to Tadoussac Area
We were able to solve the truck and motorcycle mechanical issues during the last two weeks and were ready to resume our itinerary.
Canyon Sainte Anne
Canyon Sainte-Anne is a beatiful gorge, carved by the Sainte-Anne-du-Nord River, a few miles east of Beaupré. The river drops over 243 ft waterfall within the canyon.

The Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is located along the Saint Lawrence River 19 mi) east of Quebec City.
